Meeting Time & Location:
Thank you for your interest in the Outreach Committee. Our diverse team typically meets monthly; however, our meeting days and times may vary due to our members' varied schedules. Please note that during winter holidays or when we are engaged in large Outreach tabling events and Town Halls, we may not hold our monthly meeting.
Last month in May we were busy with Outreach tabling booths at the Fire Station 63 Pancake Breakfast, the Venice Farmer's Market and the Westminister Early Education School Faire. We are hoping next year we will start participating in the Historical Cinco de Mayo Parade and Festival in Oakwood too, a lovely celebration that would be a welcome addtion to our annual Outreach calendar.
This month we are heading out to Outreach at Venice Pride on the Windward Circle - Saturday, June 7th, and both Juneteenth hosted at Oakwood Park and the "Go Skate Day - Venice Beach Take Over". This is the 3rd Annual Paul Rodriguez aka "P-Rod" Skate Event. Both activities are on Saturday, June 21st.
Our Outreach meeting is on Tuesday, June 10th, at 5:00 pm at the Venice Abbot Kinney Memorial Branch Library on Venice Blvd. in the Jon David Waldron Meeting Room (On the Right after Entering the Library).
Stay tuned for July's Outreach schedule and meeting date. The new VNC Board will be taking over and it will be an eventful time for sure!
The Outreach Committee strives to offer meetings throughout Venice using a variety of spaces including the Oakwood Recreation Community Center (Art's Room), the Abbot Kinney Venice Library, Extra Space Storage Facility on Venice Blvd. (Community Room) and Penmar Park (Small Gym) in East Venice.
Please join us! We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are interested in participating in our committee, engaging our Venice peeps out and about in the neighborhood and attending our meetings. We hope to see you soon.
Agenda Requests
The Outreach & Event Planning Committee conducts its business by reviewing and prioritizing agenda requests for Board action (generally either in the form of a motion or letter) or announcements submitted by stakeholders, governmental entities and other interested individuals and organizations.
Outreach & Event Planning Committee Committee has the discretion to postpone a request, refer it to a specific committee for review and recommendation, treat it as an announcement or consider and resolve it as a non-Board administrative matter.
