Join A Committee

Any Venice stakeholder age 18+ can be on a VNC committee whether you live, work, own property or participate as a community interest stakeholder. You do not need to be on the VNC Board to join a VNC committee.

VNC Committees cover a broad diversity community interests such as the Arts, Homelessness, Parking, Transportation and Infrastructure, Public Health & Safety, Rules & Elections and Schools & Parks. These committees are the foundation of our local government. They work with and advise local elected officials on topics of importance to you and your neighbors. If you've thought about getting involved and making a difference, this is a great place to start. Here are the current openings. • Parking, Transportation & Infrastructure - "We are looking for at least three new members. Candidates should have an interest in at least one or of the three subject areas.  A background of some sort in an area would be nice but not required.  Candidates will meet informally with the committee's chair before final acceptance. Contact the PTI committee chair.
• Communications - "A key part of our committee plan is to create a recurring newsletter for the Venice community. We're looking for someone who has experience aggregating info from a variety of sources and entered into a template." Writing and organization skills are more highly valued than technical skills."
