Assessing, Mapping and Communicating Hazards & Vulnerabilities in Venice
Our friendly Neighborhood Team Program is conducting a free training!
You will learn how to:
Notice and assess danger areas like high-voltage power lines, gas lines, and gas stations, construction sites, downed trees, dry grassland, and other fire hazards. You will also review how to use two-way radios for communication to know how to alert each other. Finally, you will be using all these new skills to create a map, including possible hazards, of our Venice neighborhoods.
Note: We will provide maps and some two-way radios. Please bring your own two-way radios (walkie-talkies) if you have them and water. If you come by car, some of us can go out by car to assess and map the neighborhood.
Date: Saturday, April 30th
