Red Cross First Aid and CPR certification course / VSA

Dear Friends and VSA members I will be conducting a
Red Cross First Aid and CPR certification course and
exam Feb 10 (Sun) 2008. The course including material
is only $40.00 and includes a one year membership to
the VSA (includes a T-shirt and membership card)What a
deal! The Red Cross charges $50.00 just for a
certification course.Please contact me if you want to
participate. In other news the VSA will hold a
skateboard contest at Gilbert Lindsay sk8park on Feb
9th.Finally I was mulling over what we have gone
through to get a skatepark in Venice,We have
represented our cause to state officials( California
Coastal Commission),municipal officials(L.A Recreation
and Parks)However it came to my attention that we
have never heard directly from any L.A City Council
Person from our district. VSA members have only spoken
with their Representatives mainly Deputies of the
council person. We have negotiated with three City
Council administrations(Gallanter,Misokowski,
Rosendahl). Through sheer determination VSA members
have pushed this project to near fruition. I think it
is high time we heard from our councilperson on the
matter.I have requested a meeting with our Council
