SAVE THE LINCOLN PLACE CATS

HEART BREAKING NEWS:

SAVE THE LINCOLN PLACE CATS

Last Friday night we received a frantic call from one of the remaining residents at Lincoln Place. We knew that people were being forced to move out of the low rent apartment complex. What we didn’t know is that unfortunately many of them left their cats behind. The caller put us in touch with a kind person who had begun to feed when he saw that the cats were thin and starving. A VFTA volunteer immediately rushed to Lincoln Place to meet with him. The place was dark and eerie and completely deserted. As the feeder approached, out of no where cats ran up to him, starving for food. Frightened and disoriented, the kitties have stayed close to what used to be their homes. Up until a short time ago, they were inside their homes, safe and warm with their families. Now they sit on deserted porches, in front of bolted doors, in empty garages, all the places that were once home to them. Although they are now being fed, have gained some weight, their situation is TIME LIMITED. We now have only TWO WEEKS to rescue the Lincoln Place cats before the property will be locked up for good and no one will be able to enter. No one will then be allowed to feed and what usually happens in cases like this is that an extermination company will be called in. These cats are in serious danger. The Lincoln Place cats need your help NOW. We need immediate donations for vet care, and we need foster homes.
