Important Emergency Web Sites
For up the the date earthquake information, click on the following web site: Try the Web site for USGS: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/regional/ This starts you and then choose US Earthquake Information by State and go from there.
Another imporant Link:
Dear Community members,
In light of the earthquake this morning, I strongly encourage each and
every one of you to visit the Los Angeles City Emergency Management
Department's (EMD) website at http://www.lacity.org/emd/index.htm for
more information on how you can be more prepared for earthquakes and
other emergencies. Furthermore, EMD will be hosting a Neighborhood
Emergency Ambassador Program in the Westchester Fire Station during the
month of September. This will be a great opportunity for your community
to be fully trained on emergency preparedness and emergency response
(you will find the program information on the EMD website as well).
Best,
Stephen Cheung, M.S.W.
