Venice Beach Walking Tours has been created to uncover the hidden stories and salty past of an enchanting artist's community that is still thriving today. Venice Beach is one of the most famous tourist attractions in all of America . As a matter of fact, it's number 1 in Los Angeles County , visited by more than 5 million people each year. But how many people truly know the rich history that has created such an outrageous and flamboyant destination? What would it be like to be a local? Well, this select tour will provide tourists from all over the world and the U.S. with a 2-3 hour "insiders" walking tour of famous Ocean Front Walk. Meet the locals; experience a glimpse of what it truly means to be a Venetian.

Venice Beach Walking Tours is the brainchild of Jeffrey Solomon, a well known Venice Beach insider who has lived in the area for more than 40 years.

Each Venice Beach Walking Tour comes with a wonderful lunch included in the price of the tour at the famous Dannys Venice Beach Bistro and Bar. Starting on Friday, July 4, 2008 , the summer tours will take place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 11am -2pm. The 1.5 mile tour will cover Ocean Front Walk, one of the most filmed locations in California . Other sites along the tour route include:

Street performances: a street circus, featuring gymnasts spinning one-armed handstands, knife-throwing jugglers on 10 foot tall ladders, bare-handed break dancers on asphalt and music on every corner;

The Venice Pavilion: home of dance skating, rollerblade cone jumpers, the "graffiti wall" and sports complex;

Murals: "Mr. Van Gough, please allow me to introduce you to Jim Morrison". "Ah, yes, Mr. Marc Chagall, say hello to our favorite disappearing whales". And world famous muralist "Cronk", literally "climbing the walls";

Muscle Beach: Like some movie pageant with Hercules, these men and women do battle with the iron as they work out to increase the size of their muscles;

The Venice Drum Circle : As a backdrop to all that moves are the distant drums from somewhere in the distance on the way to the ocean. As the day wears on, the intensity rises.
