1. Special Board Meeting (Oct 25)

Where: Venice High School, Cafeteria, 13000 Venice Blvd (Enter parking lot from Walgrove Ave)  
When:  Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at 7:30 PM

Dear GRVNC Members:  Prior to the special meeting called to approve a budget and after the notice for that meeting was posted, a meeting of the GRVNC Land Use and Planning Committee (LUPC) occurred.  Consequently several of the LUPC members asked that the chair call a special meeting to receive and approve a decision of the LUPC.  This was an urgent request in that the City Planning Commission will be hearing the item of interest on October 27 and to wait for the regular GRVNC meeting on November 15 would be too late to present the findings of the GRVNC LUPC.
 
Since it is the duty of the GRVNC to advise the L.A. City District 11 of their findings, the thirteen board members assembled at the Venice United Methodist Church on October 20 asked the chair, by unanimous consent, that a special meeting be called in order to process this urgent matter in timely fashion.
 
Accordingly, another special meeting is called for Tuesday, October 25, at 7:30 PM in the cafeteria of Venice High.

MTA Bus Yard project Summary:

Applicant: Robert D’Elia, RAD Jefferson, LLC

Case Number: CPC-2005-1002-SPE-ZC-CDP-MEL-ZAA-SPP-SPR 

Address: 100 E SUNSET AVE 

Proposed Project: Construction of an approximately 255,766 square foot mixed use building varying 
in height from 3 to 5 stories, 30 to 56 feet in height consisting of approximately 208 residential 
condominium units and 10,000 square feet of commercial floor retail space.

2. Call for Volunteers

The board urgently needs volunteers for the following positions:

GRVNC Meetings: (contact secretary@grvnc.org)
 * Public Address System -- help setup the audio system at GRVNC Board Meetings
 * Time Keeper --  keep time for speakers during public comment

Outreach: (contact communications@grvnc.org)
 * Data Entry -- assist with entry of stakeholder contact information into the GRVNC database
 * Public Notices -- assist district reps put up official GRVNC meeting notices at notification locations

3. Next Regular Board Meeting (Nov 15)

The GRVNC Board of Officers meetings are scheduled for the Third Tuesday of the month.  
The next Regular Board Meeting is:

When:  Thursday, November 15, 2005 at 7:00 PM
