1. Location Change

Through the extraordinary efforts of our facilities volunteer, the Board has secured a new and better location for the
GRVNC Special Board Meeting and Budget Committee meeting scheduled for Thursday October 20th.  

The new location is: Venice United Methodist Church, 1020 Victoria Avenue (just off Lincoln Blvd, north of Venice Blvd)

Updated announcements are provided below as items 3 and 4.

This location will be warmer and brighter then the outdoor Penmar Recreation Center location previously announced.  
Thank you all for your patience and understanding as the Board works to get through these administrative matters and 
on to more interesting community business.

2. Special LUPC Meeting (Oct 18)

Where: (yet to be determined)
When: Wednesday, October 19, 2005, at 7:00 PM

The newly formed 2005/2006 GRVNC Land Use and Planning Committee of the GRVNC met this morning and determined 
that a special LUPC meeting should be called to consider the proposed MTA Bus Lot project at Sunset Ave and Main Street
proposed by RAD Development.  As soon as a location has been determined, a follow up email will be sent out.  You may also
forward comments to the LUPC Board at the email address: lupc@grvnc.org .

  1. Presentation by RAD Development on MTA Lot Project (Case No. CPC 2005-1002-SPE-ZC-CDP-MEL-ZAA-SPP-SPR)

3. Special Board Meeting 

Where: Venice United Methodist Church, 1020 Victoria Avenue (just off Lincoln Blvd, north of Venice Blvd)
When:  Thursday, October 20, 2005 at 6:30 PM

Note: The board is looking for someone to help provide portable outdoor lighting for
the board meeting.  Please let us know at info@grvnc.org if you have lighting you can 
bring.  Power is available, but current lighting may be inadequate.

  1. Tutorial presentation by Deanna Stevenson on "The Brown Act" (approximately 1 1/2 hours)

The GRVNC Board of Officers meetings are scheduled for the Third Tuesday of the month.  
The next Regular Board Meeting is:

When:  Thursday, November 15, 2005 at 7:00 PM

Agenda will be announced after the October 17th Executive Committee meeting.  The
