GRASS ROOTS VENICE NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL
SPECIAL ELECTION MEETING

Watch the mayoral debate on television and
vote to restore a GRVNC quorum

Grass Roots Venice Neighborhood Council bylaws provide
for a special election to be held to allow Venice 
stakeholders to confirm or replace a board member 
selected by the board to fill a vacant seat. (1)

Four appointments were made by the GRVNC board in
the fall of 2004:

Francisco Letelier (Government Relations Officer), 
Don Geagan (at-large), 
Kristin Weirick (at-large), 
Inge Mueller (District 2 Representative).

The Rules and Elections Committee of the neighborhood
council is now holding a special election open to all 
Venice stakeholders to confirm or replace (by write 
in) these appointments.

Vera Davis McClendon Center
610 California Avenue (at Electric Avenue)
Monday, February 28, 2005
5 p.m. – 8 p.m.

The votes will be counted 
immediately after the election.

This election is necesary to allow your neighborhood 
council to function to hold new elections in June 
of this year as provided for in GRVNC bylaws.

YOU MUST BRING ONE OF THE FOLLOWING I.D. 
WITH A VENICE ADDRESS!

CA Drivers License 		
CA Residency Card 		
School ID Card
A business card			
A recent utility bill		
An imprinted check
Legal documents 		
Property tax bill		
Business license	
Receipt for services from a Venice social service 
  agency (homeless)
*Description on back of location on boardwalk, 
  other place (provisional).
