[grvnc] Come to Envision Venice, Saturday 11/15

Get involved in planning our future!!

VENICE COMMUNITY COALITION invites you to:

ENVISION VENICE: a Community Planning Workshop
Saturday, November 15, 2003
9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
United Methodist Church, 1020 Victoria (at Lincoln Blvd.)

This one-day ENVISION VENICE Planning Workshop gives you a chance to
speak out on development along Lincoln Boulevard between Venice Blvd.
and the Santa Monica boundary. Led by community planners and
architects, the workshop invites residents and businesses to share
your ideas for the kind of community we wish to live in.

ENVISION VENICE will tackle issues that affect us all: large-scale
real estate and development projects, transportation, affordable
housing, and the need to preserve Venice's unique historical and
artistic heritage. You'll see examples of creative urban planning and
projects to inspire your vision.

Neighborhood organizations, business groups, and city officials will
participate. Our goal is to ensure that growth and development along
Lincoln Blvd. reflect, respect and enhance the unique qualities of
our historic and artistic community.

ENVISION VENICE's final report will catalyze the City of Los Angeles
Planning Department to begin preparation of a Community Design
Overlay for Lincoln Boulevard that embodies our community's values.
Refreshments served.
