At the third meeting a motion regarding access to public toilets was
created:
A consensus was reached on a motion. There was discussion on safety
issues.
At the second meeting the list of issues and possible objectives or
activities was expanded:
Although a great number of issues were identified while brainstorming
at the first and second meeting, the pressing need for facilities (such
as toilets and hot showers) for people living un-housed appeared to
take precedence.
At the first meeting a committee mission was established with this
supporting statement:
Acting as a committee of the Grassroots Venice Neighborhood Council
(GRVNC), identify the current situation of poverty and homelessness in
Venice to insure the basic human rights of all members of the Venice
community. Furthermore, we will work to network with the GRVNC, the Venice
community, and other organizations with similar missions.
