website news and information

While this website is very helpful and informative, the "News" seems pretty old.
It would be great to make very clear navigation on the front page where people could easily and clearly find when and where meetings are planned, what the topics will be, and then, equally importantly: what the results of the meeting were.
I cant seem to find the results of the council's voting on the issues two nights ago.
I think I'm fairly web-savvy, but if this is to serve all the community, this website needs to have simple consistent navigation, and relevant, updated information. Maybe we should spend a little more money on this portal to make it the voice to the community we all could use.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree that the News page needs work, this page has suffered from me being to busy to update it.
As for the board meeting on Tuesday, the Board voted to create a new working group and asked members of the audience from both sides of the issue to get involved to come up with recommendations. The new task force will report in 6mo time.
When the minutes of Tuesdays meeting are available, it they will be posted at VeniceNC.org/board and be attached to the calendar event for that meeting.
If you have any specific ideas for improving the layout, I'm sure my successor would be very willing to try and implement them. I have had to resign because I'll be out of town too much this year. If you or someone you know would like this job, it's available. :-)
