Let's start a conversation about how to rid the world of outdoor advertising, from reporting illegal outdoor advertising, to greatly increasing the fines for illegal outdoor advertising. to changing the state law requiring huge payments to billboard owners when banning billboards, and everything in between.

City installing advertising on Boardwalk
The agenda for the Feb 19 board meeting will likely have an item about signs. The city signed an agreement with CBS/Decaux to put up bus enclosures, signs and automated restrooms. Check out:

They are now proposing 5 or 6 locations along the Venice Boardwalk for their signs. We must make our voice heard if we don't want these signs. Our councilman can fight it, but he only will if he hears from us.
They've already put up signs in front of Venice High School. What's next?
