in memory of Fire Officer Dave Pass
Dear Friends,
This morning I spoke with Captain Jerry Johnson and he told me that a few days ago, one of the firefighters from our Venice Fire Station 63 was killed in a traffic accident. Fire Officer Dave Pass was only 42 and had four children. As you can well imagine our Fire fighter family is in deep sorrow right now. The services for Officer Pass will be Saturday, July 28th, for more information please contact Captain Johnson at the fire station 310-575- 8563. Captain Johnson will be on duty tomorrow.
Our Firemen are always there when we need them, here are some things we can do to support them during this difficult time.
Anyone who can bring a dish to the Venice Fire station, 1930 Shell Avenue, around 4 or 5 pm on Sat. July 28 for the repast would be most appreciated.
If anyone would like to make a donation to the family that might be a nice gesture, perhaps Captain Jerry Johnson could tell us how to proceed with that. Finding out what the family might want, perhaps a donation to charity might be appropriate.
A phone call, a card, any other way of letting the officers know we care, I am sure would be appreciated.
Please pass this on so we can reach out to the people who are always willing to be there for us.
Truly,
Mindy
