May 1 Bylaws Ratified by Stakeholders 217 to 139

On May 1, 2006, the stakeholders of Venice were asked to ratify bylaws changes approved by the GRVNC Board on March 29th. Over 350 stakeholders came out to cast a vote and the new bylaws passed with 61% of voters approving the changes.

217 stakeholders voted to ratify and 139 voted to reject the new bylaws. A simple majority of Stakeholders is required to ratify new bylaws approved by the Board.

Now that the bylaws have been approved by both the GRVNC Board and Stakeholders they will be forward to DONE for final certification.

Six stakeholders did not have proof of stakeholder status at the time of the election and cast provisional ballots. Because these ballots could not have changed the outcome of the election, they were left uncounted.
