The Election Committee has certified that Initiative A failed and Initiative B passed. The vote count is as follows: INITIATIVE A: 634 FOR, 868 AGAINST, 9 ABSTENTIONSINITIATIVE B: 891 FOR, 608 AGAINST, 13 ABSTENTIONS Including 13 Provisional Ballots, 1524 ballots were cast. The Neighborhood Committee Meets on the first Monday morning of each month at Vera Davis McClendon Community Center, 610 California Avenue, in Venice. The Commitee is composed of stakeholders representatives from the various unique neighborhoods in Venice. Our main areas of concern are the Community Improvement Fund program; developing an Emergency Preparedness and Awareness Plan; and serving as the eyes and ears on the Venice Community on issues of concern.
