On Saturday August 2 the Young Adult Theatre Program will present a teaser performance of "Actors At Play" at the Venice Community Barbecue at Oakwood Park. The presentation will begin at 2pm. A complete performance of "Actors At Play" will begin at Pacific Resident Theatre, 705 1/2 Venice Boulevard, 3 blocks west of Lincoln, at 6pm. The NHC of the VNC meets normally on the first Monday morning each month at 8:30 a.m.

Venice's creative musical spirit comes alive at the Venice Beach Music Festival on Sunday, August 10, with an afternoon of eclectic entertainment. Diverse local bands performing original music include The Aliens, Sugarbitch, The Virginia City Revival, Stobo, Ninja Academy, and Steve Watts Band, all making rare area appearances.
