Did you know that 80% of the trash you see on our coast and oceans does NOT come from beach goers, but travels our stormdrain channels from as far inland as 60 miles before landing on our sand and surf? By helping pick up beach litter, you can play an important part in the ongoing fight to keep our coasts clean and safe for beachgoers, coastal creatures and birds, and the ocean itself! Plus, you’ll get great exercise walking the beach with other volunteers from the Venice community!! Please spread the word!
