REMINDER: Election Registration Event, Thursday, August 11!

This is a reminder; if you want to register as a candidate, or if you want to register to cast a Vote-by-mail ballot, you still have three more opportunities.  Your next opportunity is this Thursday, August 11.

Remember, YOU MUST APPEAR IN PERSON AT ONE OF THE THREE REMAINING OUTREACH EVENTS BETWEEN NOW AND AUGUST 21ST IF YOU WANT TO VOTE-BY-MAIL OR REGISTER AS A CANDIDATE.

You do not need to pre-register if you are simply planning to vote on the days of the election, September 10 and 11 - just bring a valid credential with you to the polls and vote!

WHEN:
Thursday, August 11 from 6 to 9pm
Thursday, August 18 from 6 to 9pm
Sunday, August 21 from 10am to 1pm

WHERE:
Westminster Elementary School - main auditorium
1010 Abbot Kinney Blvd.
Venice, CA 90291

(The school is at the corner of Westminster and Abbot Kinney Blvd.  We will be set up in the main auditorium. You can either park in the small lot on Westminster Ave. and enter from the parking lot, or you can park on the street and enter on foot from Abbot Kinney Blvd.)

As of July 25th, the GRVNC Volunteer Election Committee has registered SEVENTEEN candidates and pre-registered SEVENTY-TWO stakeholders at our first Outreach Event. Registration of stakeholders was evenly split between those who planned to vote-by-mail and those who planned to vote in person.

Homebound persons who are unable to travel to an outreach event may contact Jerry Kvasnicka, the Independent Election Administrator, by calling (323) 256-6330 or sending an email to  jkvas@earthlink.net in order to make arrangements to provide valid credentials to register and vote by mail.
