[grvnc.org] BONC asks DONE for Venice Election Plan in January

Grass Roots Venice Neighborhood Council Announcement

At the December 14 Commission meeting,
the Board of Neighborhood Commissioners
requested the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment
provide the Commission with recommendations for
the conducting of elections for the Grass Roots Venice

Neighborhood Council (GRVNC) at their next regularly
scheduled meeting in January.  

GRVNC has not been "decertified" as an official
neighborhood council, nor has there been any request 
from DONE to BONC to do so.  

The election plan will detail a DONE approved  
procedure to hold a new election in Venice,
as soon as possible, to recognize the ability of 
the GRVNC board to form a quorum and 
to restore GRVNC funding.
