GRASS ROOTS VENICE NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL
TOWN HALL FOCUSING ON VENICE YOUTH

THURSDAY, MAY 6,

6:00pm dinner
7:00pm -10:00pm meeting

Oakwood Recreation Center
767 California Avenue

Keynote Speakers:

Creating Jobs for Neighborhood Youth
Abbot Kinney Boulevard business owners
Richard & Thomas Schiffer of Abbot's Pizza

Richard and Thomas Schiffer employee youth in
Venice not only to prepare and serve up
delicious pizza, but see it as a way to
help teach basic job skills and
respect for one another.

Originally from New York, the Schiffer brothers
will celebrate their 10th year in business on
Abbot Kinney Boulevard this year. They believe
in taking care of the neighborhood and in turn,
the neighborhood takes care of them.

In addition, the Town Hall will include presentations
and volunteer opportunities by Venice youth
organizations.

Join us at GRVNC's second community forum this year to

learn what is happening in Venice. Help us work
toward creating solutions and how you can make a
difference.
