Grass Roots Venice Neighborhood Council Announcement

The elections committee has started crafting 
elections procedures for the 2004 GRVNC
elections.  At the last meeting, the 7 member
"citizens' jury", composed of randomly selected 
Venice stakeholders who were willing to volunteer,
voted to have the elections on Sunday, June 27
at Westminster Elementary and to give 
Venice voters a vote-by-mail option.

At the next meeting (see below), the committee
will decide the exact procedures for the 
vote-by-mail option and it is possible that 
afterwards the issue of voting by mail 
will be reconsidered by the committee.

All on the committee know that the 
Venice elections will be under 
a spotlight this year, and so are working
hard to make sure they are the smoothest
yet.

All Venice stakeholders are invited to give
input to the entire committee, either 
in person at any meeting, or via email at
elections@grvnc.org.
