Note: Translation equipment will be
available for Spanish Speakers.
1) Call to Order
2) Introduction: Is there a 1300-unit project planned
by the new owner of Lincoln Place? A sale? What do we
want as a community? There is a growing desire for
neighborhoods to participate early on in the
planning process--not just react. Let's start that
dialog, let's help shape our future environment!
3) Historic Overview of Lincoln Place
-Amanda Seward, Chair of the Residential Council
of the LA Conservancy's Modern Committee
-Additional comments -Lisa Bialac, granddaughter
of the original developer, Sam Bialac.
-Drake Dillard, Vice-President of the National
Organization of Minority Architects.
4) The future of Affordable Housing in Venice,
can & should Lincoln Place remain affordable?
--Housing and Income Statistics in Venice and Lincoln
Place.
--A panel of experts including Sally Richman
of the LA City Housing Department, Steve Claire
of the Venice Community Housing Corporation, and
Edmund Gonzalez of the Volunteers of America will
answer questions on affordable housing,
financing issues, and programs.
5) What is your vision for Lincoln Place?
What do you want? What don't you want? Discussion
opened to public comment.
6) Adjourn
In connection with the forum, the Lincoln Place
Tenants' Association is offering a "Strolling Buffet"
at Lincoln Place immediately before the meeting.
Begins at the intersection of Lake and Penmar.
Guided Tours' every 15 mins.
Open Houses await visitors With drinks and appetizing
tidbits!
Start: 5:30 pm - Last Tour: 6:30 pm
