[grvnc] New email system and EC meeting

Dear Grass Roots Venice Neighborhood Council Reader,

My name is Tom O'Meara and I am the new GRVNC Communications Officer.
Previously, you received Venice information from Tisha Bedrosian, but now
that responsibility rests with me.

I am happy to announce that the GRVNC email information system has been
moved
to a professionally managed mail list service!  This has several benefits.
First, handing responsibility to the next Communications Officer becomes as
simple
as changing the "moderator" of the list.  The "owner" will always be GRVNC.
Second, Venice stakeholders can subscribe or un-subscribe automatically at
their pleasure
(by following the instructions at the end of every email).  Lastly, there
is greater privacy
then with yahoo groups since the address of members is not available on the
web.

Also, the grassrootsvenice.org website will hopefully be back in operation
soon after the logistics of transferring registration of the site to GRVNC
are complete.

Please don't hesitate to contact me with comments or questions.
